In this area, 10 different species were found before logging that are either red-listed or in other ways classified as valuable species. Among these were 3 different species that are red-listed, such as Nothorhina muricata, a beetle species which is living in the outer bark of old, sun-exposed pines and Phellinidium ferrugineofuscum a wood-living fungi looking like dark chocolate.
