Emissions from 1282 million round trips to Thailand
Emissions from 209 coal-fired power plants for one year
Svealand
If forests in Svealand were allowed to grow old, and undisturbed, they could store the same amount of carbon dioxide as 209 coal-fired power plants emit during a year. Or what 169 million passenger cars emits during the same time. Or 1,282 million round-trip trips to Thailand. If we keep cutting down trees at our current rate, our forest will never grow really old, and they will never reach the same awesome capacity of storing carbon that is needed to save our climate. Less felling increases the carbon stock in our forests.
