Forestinsight.com is founded by Jon Andersson who is born and raised in Västerbotten. Ever since childhood he’s had a great love for the forest and spent most of his time there. After extensive university studies in biology, he’s been dedicated to forestry issues – doing research, working for the government and later as a consultant – accumulating solid knowledge about the forest and the impact of forestry on biodiversity.
Forestinsight.com is Jon’s way of sharing what he has learned. A large part of this site consists of images and animations. Many find scientific studies and reports hard to read, but when you present relevant facts as images and illustrations most people will get the message. And this is key since the facts presented in this site must not be ignored.
Illustrations are mostly created from satellite images, facts and visuals from the Swedish Forest Agency, the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences.
